Hi! If you're reading this, you are probably my Yuletide Santa. If so, thanks! I'm writing this letter to clarify some of the prompts, and to add more general information about my preferences in fics. I know this is pretty detailed; don't get too freaked out! These are just suggestions, not demands.
Even if you choose to disregard everything I say here, I will still be happy.  These, like all Yuletide fandoms, are sadly neglected in terms of fic, and I'd love to read anything in them.

I'm repeating my original prompts in italics for clarity.

Diane Duane – Young Wizards series : Christopher Rodriguez aka Kit, Juanita Callahan aka Nita, Lone Power
I'd like a story about a wizardry that Nita and/or Kit do(es) (you can ship them, or not). I'd prefer an encounter with the Lone Power, but that isn't necessary.
I will honestly be happy with pretty much anything you write in this fandom, though I'd prefer something a little darker, like an encounter with the Lone Power. Pairing-wise, I'm fine with Nita/Kit, or, if you feel like including them, Tom/Carl, or Dairine/Roshaun (or none, if you prefer to write gen).

Notes on choosing this as an alternate: Young Wizards is an ongoing book series (there are currently eight books) about, unsurprisingly, wizards. If you're pressed for time, it's not absolutely necessary to read all of them (though preferred, if you can!). My suggestions (as long as you don't mind reading them out of order) are the first (So You Want to Be A Wizard), the fourth (A Wizard Abroad), and the eighth (Wizards at War).  I wouldn't really suggest this as an alternate, though, unless you either have a lot of time or are already somewhat familiar with it.

Tamora Pierce – Tortall series : Alanna, Jonathan of Conte
I miss the relationship between Alanna and Jon, so fic about that would be great (however, nothing too fluffy, please). Gen-wise, I'd love any story about Alanna, preferably set either during her page years or in Tortall, after she becomes a knight.
I would prefer a story set during the second and/or third books (i.e. does not go very AU regarding their relationship). If their relationship is sexual, please have both characters 16 or older.

Notes on choosing this as an alternate: This is a four-book series, and the books are pretty short. They follow a woman named Alanna as she becomes a knight, a profession which was only open to men at the time. This would be a better fandom than Young Wizards to try to learn quickly, I think.

Skins : Effy Stonem, Emily Fitch, Naomi Campbell
I would love anything with Effy in it. Femslash would be cool too, preferably Emily/Naomi, Effy/Katie, or Effy/Pandora. Gen is fine, but please include at least one of the S3 girls.
Here, if you choose to write a relationship, don't worry about including all three of the characters; just write about the ones in the relationship (but you can, of course, if you want to!).

Notes on choosing this as an alternate: Skins is about a group of teenagers (college-age) in Britain. The fandom as a whole has three series so far, but every two series, they change the cast almost completely. I'm just interested in Series 3 for this story, so that's all you'd have to watch. It's ten episodes, so not quite pressured-writer-friendly, though.

Being Human (tv) : Annie aka Anna Clare Sawyer, George Sands, Mitchell aka John Mitchell
I'd love a story about the three of them living together, similar to the show. If you want to write a pairing, I'd prefer either Annie/George/Mitchell, Annie/Mitchell, or George/Mitchell (but please don't ignore the one not in the relationship). They don't all have to feature prominently, but I'd like them all to be there.
One of the things I find interesting about this show is the close bond that the main characters have formed by the end of the first series. Despite characteristics that might have pulled them apart (for example, vampires and werewolves have a history of enmity), they are now sort of like family, intensely loyal to each other.

Notes on choosing this as an alternate: This is probably the easiest fandom to learn, since it's only six episodes. It's about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost living together (it's better than I made it sound, I promise!). There's also an original pilot, which uses different actors for all of the characters save George.

General Notes:

While it's absolutely not necessary, it would be nice if (in honor of the season) the story took place during winter!

Overall, I'd prefer a fic that isn't too dark (please, no main character death), although some angst is okay. Any rating is fine, as is nonexplicit sex or the lack of it (but please don't make sex the focus of the story). Gen is always fine – don't feel pressured to choose either that or pairing-fic; I love both.

Don't worry too much about including every character (unless you're writing Being Human). Conversely, you can give other characters a main role in your story, as long as you also include the characters from the prompt. I would prefer a happy ending, or at least not a horribly depressing ending.

It's fairly important to me that a female character feature prominently (I don't mean she has to be the only main character, just one of them), since women are often underrepresented in both original sources and in fanfiction. Equality is also important in relationships - they should be on the same level (for example, not one always saving the other).

An AU story that splits from the canon universe, where something went differently than it did in canon, is okay, though I'd prefer no huge changes;  however, I don't really like the other kind of AU, where the characters have always been doctors/astronauts/whatever.

I'd rather you didn't write explicit sex, but if you choose to write it, I'm pretty open (meaning kinks and het/slash/3+somes). I just ask that there's no noncon or dubcon, all involved are 16 or older, and you don't get too extreme/hardcore with kinks. Oh, and please no infidelity.
